East Africa to host online tourism seminarsE Tourism Frontiers, an online tourism training company will host a series of one-day seminars in three East African countries. The seminars in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will be held between 25 May and 22 June 2011. "Travel is now the number one selling commodity online and is generating over US$150 billion annually in sales. However, only a small proportion of African tourism is sold online and finding and booking African destinations on the web can be a challenge. It is hoped that with more education and awareness, the tourism sector in the region will harness and implement online marketing tools," said Damian Cook, CEO of E Tourism Frontiers. The E Tourism East Africa Road Show will include sessions on website development, e-commerce, online reservations and bookings, e-marketing, multimedia, user-generated content, social networks, and mobile marketing. The seminars will explain the benefits of online payments and e-commerce, and also introduce business solutions for tourism companies that may be struggling with reservation and booking systems.
