Marriott International appoint new president for EMEA region

Marriott International has appointed Satya Anand as the president for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), replacing Liam Brown, who has been appointed group president, US and Canada for Marriott. In his new role, Anand will lead Marriott International's post-Covid-19 recovery approach across the EMEA region.

Anand joined Marriott International in 1988 as a night auditor at the Vienna Marriott Hotel and went to hold a number of management positions, including area vice president roles in Western and Central Europe, chief financial officer for Europe and most recently, chief operations officer, luxury and Southern Europe and global design for EMEA.
