Club Travel Corporate appoints new board members

Club Travel Corporate, a division of the Thebe Tourism Group and Travelstart Group of companies, has announced the appointment of Kananelo Makhetha and Nazeema Beilings to its board of directors. The pair will mostly be based at the company's Rosebank, Johannesburg office once the nationwide lockdown has been lifted.

Makhetha has over 20 years of experience in executive management within the travel and tourism sector, having held leadership and management positions at Travelex Africa (2014-2019) and BCDTravel (1996 - 2014). He was most recently the chief executive officer for Club Travel Corporate, having assumed the role in March 2019. Beilings has 18 years of management experience having held, among others, management roles at Tourvest Travel Services (2016 - 2019) and BCDTravel (2014 - 2016).

Club Travel CEO Gary Mulder commented on Makhetha and Beilings' appointment: "Kananelo and Nazeema have been with us for 15 and 10 months respectively and in that time have shown that they have what it takes to direct our corporate business to the levels that shareholders would expect. Their nature, knowledge, and proactive attitudes have commanded respect across the group and their appointment to the board is well deserved. I certainly am excited for the journey ahead with them at the helm."
