Azure Data Engineer

Join a forward-thinking Financial Services Provider committed to innovation, technology, and pushing boundaries. We are looking for a dynamic Azure Data Engineer to drive data engineering initiatives in alignment with our organisational standards, frameworks, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain a comprehensive data architecture across multiple application platforms.
• Analyse data elements and systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Develop, manage, and optimise data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Build and implement data tools to support data consumers in optimising data usage.
• Design, develop, and execute APIs to support data-driven applications.
• Work across various platforms to enhance data integration and performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve data and process-related issues.
• Apply knowledge of integration patterns, styles, and protocols to optimise data flow.
• Collaborate with technology teams and country data teams to implement scalable data solutions within architectural guidelines.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in business commerce, information studies, or information technology
• Five years’ experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting and data integration solutions
• Five + years of deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation
• Five + years’ experience in database programming languages
• Strong proficiency in Azure Databricks and PySpark.
