Web Designer (Freelance / Contract)

We’re looking for a freelance Web Designer who knows how to build pages that not only look good, but actually perform. Your role will focus on designing responsive, conversion-optimised pages for all device types. You’ll be working closely with content writers and developers, turning briefs into clean mockups and updating or building out new pages in WordPress using page builders.

You should have a strong eye for layout and UX, a practical understanding of how design supports SEO and user intent, and the ability to execute quickly with consistent quality. You'll also help with briefing developers and QA testing across browsers and breakpoints.

What you’ll do:

• Design user-friendly, responsive layouts based on performance and brand goals
• Build and update pages using WordPress visual builders
• Collaborate with writers and developers on new and existing pages
• Make layout and content updates as needed
• Design web assets like banners, thumbnails, and hero images
• QA test across browsers and devices

Requirements:

• Intermediate CSS and HTML skills
• Solid experience with WordPress and page builders
• Understanding of UX and on-page SEO best practices
• Figma or similar tools
• Simplero - an advantage not a must-
• Attention to detail
• Be proactive / trouble-solving

Advantageous

• Graphic design or brand asset creation experience
• Basic knowledge of conversion copy or sales funnels
