Outbound logistics specialist – shipping department
We are seeking an outbound logistics specialist for our shipping department to ensure efficient and timely deliveries to clients.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Qualification in logistics or supply chain
- Freight forwarding certificate (advantageous)
- Over three years’ experience in freight forwarding and shipping within a multinational setting
- Experience with shipping to Africa, Australasia, and America
- Strong relationships with freight forwarding agents
- In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding regulations and requirements
- ERP system proficiency
- Familiarity with customs and duty regulations
- Ability to manage cross-shipping and pullbacks
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management
- Leadership in managing outbound suppliers
- Decision-making skills grounded in judgment and integrity
- Strong time management, accountability, and ethical standards
