Quantity Surveyor - Electrical Experience
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced
quantity surveyor to join their team in
George, Western Cape.
As a quantity surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our projects by accurately estimating and managing the costs associated with construction, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:- Conducting cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses.
- Analysing project specifications and drawings to accurately determine quantities and costs.
- Preparing and presenting cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to project stakeholders.
- Managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring project progress and costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and address any cost-related issues.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred but not required.
