Senior IT Manager

We are seeking an experienced senior IT manager to oversee the strategic direction and operational management for our client.

The senior IT manager will be responsible for leading the IT team, managing infrastructure, ensuring network security, implementing new technologies, and aligning IT operations with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and programs to support the organisation’s objectives.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s IT systems, managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and timely procurement of necessary technology.
  • Manage IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning and system backups, ensuring business continuity in the event of disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring the organisation receives optimal service and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand IT requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can improve business operations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the IT team, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Manage user support and troubleshooting services, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Regularly report on IT department performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
