ASP Programmer

Job overview:


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented ASP Programmer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ASP (Active Server Pages) and a strong understanding of web development technologies. You will be responsible for creating dynamic and scalable web applications, enhancing the functionality of existing systems, and ensuring high performance.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain web applications using ASP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and optimise code for scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Integrate with databases (e.g., SQL Server) for dynamic data-driven applications.
  • Work with other departments to define technical requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
Key requirements:
  • Proven experience as an ASP Programmer or Web Developer.
  • Proficiency in ASP (classic and/or ASP.NET), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred).
Desirable skills:
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC or Web API.
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of security best practices in web development.
