Junior Office Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated junior office assistant to join our company. This role offers a variety of responsibilities, including general office administration support and assisting the director with personal errands when required. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, organised, and proactive individual who can handle both professional tasks in the office and occasional personal duties for the director.

Key responsibilities:
Office assistance:
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Organise and maintain office files, documents, and records.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and coordinating office calendars.
  • Help with the preparation and organisation of recruitment documents, such as job advertisements, candidate resumes, and interview schedules.
  • Provide administrative support to the recruitment team, including managing office supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office environment.
  • Assist with organising company events or meetings as needed
Personal assistance to the director:
  • Assist the director with personal errands, such as scheduling personal appointments, handling personal shopping, or managing tasks related to family commitments.
  • Help with personal correspondence and keeping the director’s personal calendar up to date.
  • Provide support during personal events, such as managing logistics or coordinating schedules.
 Skills and qualifications:

  • Must have valid license and reliable / roadworthy vehicle.
  • Fully Bilingual in Afrikaans and English
  • Basic office administration or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment (e.g., printers, phones).
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet, especially when assisting with personal errands.

  • Willingness to assist with both office and personal duties as needed.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the team and the director.

Education and experience:
  • Matric or equivalent; additional office administration courses would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a junior administrative or office support role would be beneficial but not necessary.
Working Hours:
  • Full-time 08:00 – 17:00 (Monday to Friday) with occasional flexibility required for personal errands and tasks.
