Who are we looking for:
We are seeking an experienced digital media lead – programmatic & social for a one-year fixed-term contract. This senior-level role is perfect for a programmatic advertising expert with a strong background in paid social media strategies. You are a data-driven leader who thrives on maximising ROAS through AI-driven ad placements, audience segmentation, and automated bidding strategies.
What will you do:
Strategic leadership and execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive programmatic and paid social media strategies aligned with business objectives. Research emerging trends and adopt innovative technologies.
Programmatic advertising management:
- Manage ad buys using DSPs (Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon DSP).
- Utilise real-time bidding (RTB) to optimise CPM and CPC.
- Implement audience segmentation with first- and third-party data.
- Leverage AI tools for bid adjustments and creative variations.
Paid social media strategy and execution:
- Oversee campaigns on platforms such as Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter (X), Snapchat, and Pinterest.
- Execute A/B tests to refine creatives, copy, and CTAs.
- Use social listening tools to monitor sentiment and engagement.
Performance monitoring and optimisation:
- Analyse campaign data using Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau.
- Track KPIs including CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates.
- Optimise creatives and placements based on real-time insights.
Budget and bidding strategy:
- Allocate budgets effectively across platforms.
- Use manual and automated bidding strategies to maximise efficiency.
Cross-team collaboration and stakeholder communication:
- Work with creative teams to ensure campaigns align with brand standards.
- Collaborate with data analysts for audience segmentation.
- Provide detailed performance reports with actionable insights.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices.
Compliance and industry standards:
- Ensure compliance with POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR (Europe).
- Stay informed on algorithm updates, policy changes, and industry standards.
- Implement privacy-compliant ad personalisation strategies.
What will you need:
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in DSPs (Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon DSP).
- Expert knowledge of social platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Twitter Ads).
- Strong experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and conversion tracking tools.
- Advanced bid management and audience segmentation skills.
- Familiarity with AI-driven ad buying and automated campaign tools.
