Loom Technician (Textile Weaving)

We're hiring! Textile weaving loom technician – George

Are you a skilled loom technician with a passion for precision and machinery? Join a dynamic team in George and play a crucial role in crafting high-quality woven textiles!

Your responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain narrow fabric looms – set up pile fabric machines, prepare, and ensure smooth production with accurate warp start-ups.
• Troubleshoot and repair – identify and fix faults, conduct routine inspections, and maintain looms with preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ensure safety – maintain safety features, controls, and PPE compliance.
• Document and report – keep accurate records of repairs, adjustments, and maintenance.
• Quality control – verify new warps against production sheets and maintain top-notch quality standards.

• Grade 12 with a textile qualification.
• Minimum of two years' experience in textile weaving operations.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of loom operation and maintenance.
• Attention to detail to ensure precision in every weave.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication skills to keep operations running smoothly.
