Software Development Manager

• BSc degree in computer science will be to your advantage
• At least 8-12 years of overall experience in the software industry
• At least four years of experience in a leadership role
• Experience in backend development and infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience in developing for scale
• Recent experience at a SaaS or other product-based company will be an advantage

• Take ownership of the delivery of the back-end software
• Collaborate with product owners and other internal stakeholders to deliver new functionality
• Ensure a reduction in the number of bugs and defects
• Manage the teams covering the development and engineering of CMS platforms (Drupal/Strapi), API platforms (node.js), messaging platforms (XMPP/SMPP/Java), along various other system components (including PHP/Python development)
• Define and implement standards and guidelines for development
• Take shared responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of all services with the operations team work with the lead architect to ensure that all development is in line with the company strategy
