IFSEC buys into local security expo

CMP Information, the organiser of IFSEC, one of the world's largest annual security events, recently announced that it has acquired a 50% stake in South Africa's security expo Securex, which is owned by Specialised Exhibitions, a subsidiary of Andry Montgomery. CMP group director Simon Parker, commented, "The South African security market has rapidly increased over the past few years and similarly, Securex has seen substantial growth. With the IFSEC global sales and marketing network, we are well-positioned to take the event to the next level as the largest pan-African security event." Today, Thursday, 3 July 2008, is the last day of IFSEC South Africa incorporating Securex, taking place at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
