The UCT GSB became the first business school in Africa to obtain a MBA ranking in 2005 when it placed 82nd in the Financial Times' Top 100 MBA rankings. The School took a major leap up the table this year, moving into 66th place.
Individuals based outside the Western Cape now also have the opportunity to take on the highly regarded UCT MBA in a flexible way as the School also recently launched a modular version of its MBA.
"The new modular programme offers students the ability to study for a UCT MBA from anywhere in the world. This flexible format enables them to take on the degree without having to leave their jobs or stop supporting their families at home," said Dr Vash Mungal, Director of the AIM, PGDMP and MBA programmes at the business school.
Information on the UCT GSB's other programmes will also be available at the event, including the Executive MBA (EMBA), Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Practice (PGDMP) and Associate in Management (AIM) programmes, targeted at senior executive, mid-level, and entry-level managers respectively.
In addition, the Gauteng public will be able to learn more about some of the highly-rated short programmes offered by the business school. These programmes are run by the UCT GSB's Executive Education unit, and were recently rated in the global top ten by the Economist Intelligence Unit in its annual survey of short executive education programmes.
