The Executive Course on Science, Technology and Innovation Policy for Sustainable Development delegates and course presenters at the certificate graduation ceremony.
The objective of the course is to build a team of African officials, researchers and practitioners with skills in science, technology and innovation (STI) policy analysis for transformative change and sustainable development. This helps to enhance the capacity of African countries to integrate sustainable development considerations into their national STI policy frameworks.
The course was presented by Professor John Mugabe from Graduate School of Technology Management (GSTM) and Dr Chux Daniels form the University of Sussex, who covered a variety of topics including, why science, technology and innovation are critical to sustainable development and case studies of related African application in policy processes and instruments.
On the last day, the delegates celebrated the completion of the course. During the celebration, the delegates were joined by Hermien Dorfling, Enterprises UP Executive Manager: Training Solutions, Deon Herbst, CEO of Enterprises UP and the course presenters.
