2021 Toyota Ses’fikile Programme Registration in KwaZulu Natal
In 2016, the University of Pretoria (UP) together with Toyota SA identified a gap in the skills of the various role players and the constantly evolving sphere in which the industry operates in. This prompted a long-term partnership and investment in the development of the industry, through skills interventions that will benefit the competency of various role players.
Subsequently, in 2016, the first two Toyota Ses’fikile Programmes, in partnership with Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP) were rolled out in various provinces over a period of three years. The Leadership Development Programme has been added and the three programmes and were presented from 2019 - 2021. These three programmes was designed to equip delegates with sound administrative, business, management and leadership skills to apply in their roles.
“During the first week of the programme I learned a lot about the transport economy. My highlight was visiting the Toyota plant where they demonstrated how to assemble a car. The experience taught me about time management and teamwork. I also learned about problem-solving and decision-making. Thank you Toyota and Enterprises UP for the opportunity.” – Janet Madiba
The evident success of the training programme between 2016 -2018 has led to the recommencing of the programme in 2019 - 2021 with registrations in Gauteng, Western Cape, Free State, KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga.
Over the next few months, more than 400 delegates from around the country will participate in the various programmes offered: Ses’fikile Programme in Management Principles & Practices (SPMP) aimed at providing delegates with business, financial and people management skills; Ses’fikile Office Management Programme (SOMP) focuses on sharpening administrative tasks such as business communication, report writing and project management; and the Ses’fikile Advanced Leadership Development Programme (ALDP) aimed at equipping leaders with tools and techniques to optimise the strengths of their respective management structures and transform and drive change in their associations and the industry at large.
Enterprises UP wishes all enrolled delegates the best in their respective programmes. We look forward to the various certificate ceremonies in December.
