Phambano Technology Development Centre NPC, a nonprofit company with the main purpose of becoming the go to solution for technology capacity building in civil society organisations across Southern Africa, has been instrumental in making this become a reality.
Their technology development initiatives allow them to provide once off and/or ongoing support to nonprofit organisations in need. The range of services offered by Phambano Technology Development Centre aim to increase the skills and capacity of nonprofit organisations across Southern Africa, empowering them to reach more beneficiaries at a local and global level.
Phambano Technology Development Centre NPC is the only programme administrator for TechSoup in Southern Africa. TechSoup is a global community that connects mission-based and community-based organisations to mission-critical technology resources.
Microsoft 365 brings together the best-in-class productivity of Office 365 with simple device management and security to connect people and information in an intelligent new way. It is a powerhouse to safeguard sensitive information, minimise data threats and adds high levels of security management for nonprofits. It also gives nonprofit organisations access to collaboration tools such as Teams, MS Office Apps (Word, Excel, Outlook) and increased cloud storage space for backups and M&E responsibilities.
Eligible (nonprofit organisations) may apply for 10 free Microsoft 365 Business Premium Seats to help them work remotely and effectively.

Phambano Technology Development Centre NPC has built mutually sustainable relationships with their tech partner stakeholders, and as a nonprofit company themselves, they understand the technology needs and challenges facing nonprofits. They offer free consultations to help eligible nonprofits navigate the Microsoft cloud offerings.
Their programme, TechSoup in Southern Africa, has worked closely with Microsoft to launch the Microsoft Digital Skills Center which provides on-demand courses specifically created for Nonprofit Organisations.
