Having worked with artists and orchestras the world over, and until recently, the Principal Trumpet player of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Howard has vast experience in the musical composition, arrangement, direction and production across a wide spectrum of musical genres. As MD for the Bala Brothers, Adam has arranged, conducted and provided tracks for one of the top performing outfits in the country. Adam Howard has also composed, arranged, produced and performed music for many of South Africa's top artists, among them - Freshly Ground, Gang Of Instrumentals, Malaika, TKZee, Loyiso, Mbongeni Ngema, Sibongile Khumalo, Steve Hofmeyer, Brenda Fassie, Danny K, Mafikozolo, Watershed and others. He has produced and composed on the last three albums of Kwaito kingpin Kabelo and regularly plays with jazz legend Themba Mkhize, arranging music on his multi award-winning album “Hands On”.
Howard Music has created corporate sounds for event companies such as VWV, O'Mage, Blue Moon and for George Mazarakis of combined artists, and also produces music for TV and radio commercials, with clients such as TBWA Hunt Lascaris, DraftFCB, Y&R, Ogilvy, JWT, Metropolitan Republic and Creatrix, to name but a few.
In collaboration with Stone Music Productions, Adam has developed a system to provide a full symphonic sound with a smaller ensemble, enabling clients to have that big orchestral sound when budgets are tight. Top quality backtracks are produced and a click track system allows the live players on stage to play together with these tracks.
