Naresh is a freelance radio and print journalist having worked at: Capital Radio 604 (motoring), SABC (SAfm, Radio 2000 and Radio Lotus - sports and motoring), East Coast Radio (general sports), BBC Africa (soccer), Radio 702/ Cape Talk (sports), The Post Newspaper (bi-weekly column), Sports Africa (all codes of sports for the African continent), Supersport and SABC TV 1 (sports and soccer commentator). He is currently the sports anchor at DYR 105.1FM.

In addition, he was a freelance sports/soccer journalist for the Independent Group, and Sunday Times. He has also won a handful of awards, the most notable being the KZN Premier Sports Accolade for his contributions in general in sports and motoring journalism.
