Junior Copywriter and Proofreader

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reporting to Creative Director
• Actively participate in creative brainstorm sessions
• Collaborate with creative team to interpret and execute briefs and reviews
• Copywrite high quality, engaging, relevant short and long form content for a range of marketing communication channels including website pages, social media, print campaigns, brochures, newsletters and other marketing collateral
• Check/proofread your copy prior to presentation and in designed execution
• Adhere to clients' CI and brand guidelines
• Establish, manage and adhere to content guidelines
• Research and stay up to date on content trends
• Review and interpret content performance analytics for constant improvement
• Come up with fresh ideas and approaches to content; push the creative boundaries
• Proofread and check print-ready product brochure layouts against briefing documents, ensuring text and image information, pricing, and financial terms are correct.
• Proofread and check social media content as a part of the compliance workflow approval process on social media management systems.
• Edit Social Media copy using AI tool on Social Media platform system – SPROUT

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of digital copywriting experience across various communication platforms and preferably in an agency environment This can include an internship during relevant copywriting studies
• 3 - 5 years of proof-checking experience - agency environment experience is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of the digital environment especially social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok
• Basic understanding of SEO as it relates to website content
• Basic understanding of PPC advertising
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in copywriting for retail clients advantageous
• Experience working on project management software such as Chase or Magnetic advantageous
• Relevant diploma or degree advantageous
