UX / UI Designer

A dynamic and innovative company is seeking an experienced UX / UI designer to join their team and drive the creative direction of business and project initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder conversations during the sales process, client workshops, and throughout the design process. The ideal candidate will ensure all designs align with business requirements and project objectives.
Who we are looking for

We are looking for a designer with deep experience in Figma who excels at creating beautiful, modern, and highly creative UI designs. While strong UX experience exists within the team, your focus will be on UI design, with an understanding of UX principles. You will work closely with the head of product and solutions director to deliver high-quality designs that meet client needs.
Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients to scope project requirements, identify business problems, and propose design solutions.
• Assist in sales pitches by providing creative input to help win new business.
• Master Figma as the primary design tool, alongside Adobe CC Suite.
• Create UX wireframes and prototypes using Figma.
• Present UX prototypes and UI designs to clients professionally, explaining the rationale behind design decisions.
• Stay updated on design trends, concepts, and best practices for digital, web, and mobile experiences.
• Design for mobile app development (iOS & Android), ensuring responsiveness across different screen sizes and orientations.
• Understand and implement design systems to improve internal design processes.
• Master Google’s material design system and apply its guidelines effectively.
• Create and design corporate branding, logos, and CI style guides.
• Assist clients and project managers in selecting themes for projects (e.g., WebFlow and WordPress) and skin design files where required.
• Use JIRA and Bluegrass creative processes for project management.
• Provide design estimates for accurate project costing and timelines.
• Accurately track time logs daily using Bluegrass tools and standards.
• Assist the marketing team with website content, social media assets, and case studies to showcase work.
• Contribute to award entry submissions and branding videos/showreels.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a creative software development environment or product development team.
• Design-related qualifications.
• Experience leading design workshops and engaging with clients to unpack project requirements.
• Expert-level experience in Figma, including structuring and architecting design projects.
• Strong ability to create UI designs for websites and mobile apps.
• Experience with Google’s material design system is advantageous.
• Experience in implementing a design system is highly beneficial.
• Corporate branding and logo design experience is advantageous.
• HTML / CSS skills are beneficial for proposing functional design solutions.
• JIRA experience for project management is advantageous.
• Experience using WebFlow is beneficial.
• Ability to design and code HTML mailers is advantageous.
• Ability to create branding videos and showreels is highly beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead clients through the creative process.
