      Digital Project/Product Manager

      We are looking for a dynamic digital project manager/product owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the successful delivery of multiple website applications and mobile applications (iOS and/or Android). Ideally, you come from a software development agency environment, where you are used to the fast pace and are able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

      You should have a deep understanding of the internet, knowing what works for users and what does not. Experience working with developers, creative designers, and testing teams is essential, and you should be comfortable with technical discussions. Experience with content management systems (CMS), particularly Umbraco, Optimizely, or WordPress, is a must-have.

      Our head of client services will oversee your work and provide mentorship within our business.

      Key performance areas:

      • Scoping: Work with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are properly analysed, and scoped, and the right solution is proposed within a statement of work (SOW) document, considering client requirements, budgets, and timeline expectations.
      • Project planning: Create and maintain detailed and sensible project plans for all projects, providing timelines for project completion.
      • Project management: Manage and run mobile app and website development projects from a solutions perspective, including all client communications, development release scope, and deliverables.
      • Ensure that all client requirements and solutions are set up in JIRA with detailed user stories, business rules/logic, and QA acceptance criteria.
      • Oversee project tasks during stand-ups, ensuring that all stakeholders use JIRA properly.
      • Conduct stand-ups, grooming sessions, retrospectives, and other ceremonies.
      • Budget management: Assist in the sales process by providing accurate project cost estimates and detailed proposal documentation. Ensure the project is delivered within an acceptable variance of the budget.
      • Time tracking and reporting: Ensure the project team logs their time consistently, and review time logs to send detailed reports on project progress to clients.
      • Testing/quality: Input into and assist with reviewing designs and final solutions. Challenge the team if something is not up to the expected standard. Ensure QA acceptance criteria are met, and bugs/tasks are fixed according to the project plan.
      • Traffic management: Work closely with the head of client services to input into traffic management and resourcing conversations, resolving any production schedule conflicts across the project management team.
      • Risk management: Manage client expectations when business requirements change or new features impact the scope, and provide cost estimates based on new requirements.
      • Documentation: Produce high-quality documentation that is easy for clients to understand and can be shared with them.
      • R&D: Stay updated on the latest technologies, best practices, and standards. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with the team and understand the capabilities of various CMS platforms to recommend the right platform/solution for a project.

      Skills/experience and competencies required:

      • Four+ years in a software development agency or product team environment.
      • Experience delivering software development projects, including full website redesigns, builds, and mobile applications (iOS or Android or both).
      • Strong hands-on experience with at least one CMS platform (Umbraco, Optimizely, or WordPress experience is advantageous).
      • Experience interfacing with clients and managing client expectations.
      • Experience creating business requirement specifications (BRS), statement of work (SOW), and project plans.
      • Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with the ability to refine and merge processes accordingly.
      • Ability to track sprint roadmaps and project progress.
      • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate with clients.
      • Experience with project management tools like Atlassian JIRA (advantageous).
      • Understanding of project scope and ability to test solutions where necessary.
      • Knowledge of website analytics and the ability to handle client conversations about it.
      • Strong understanding of SEO, particularly onsite SEO best practices, and the ability to handle client discussions.
      • Good knowledge of development terminologies, including CMS, databases, .NET, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, APIs, etc.
      • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
      • Military-like organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks.
      • A team player with good interpersonal skills to work with various personalities.
      • A passion for the online industry and a true digital enthusiast.
