Area Sales Representative

The candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing new and existing business by focusing on assigned customers to drive sales of the full product portfolio.
- Working directly with the national sales manager to achieve sales targets monthly and annually.
- Influencing key decision makers at store level; managers, buyers and owners
- Managing our agency partners in merchandising and sales
- Driving rate of sale through controlling and monitoring price, positioning, and promotional execution across all products and brands
- Minimum of three years' experience of sales and merchandising in the FMCG industry
- Experience working with a major retailer or multiple major retailers (Shoprite/Checkers, Spar, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem or Clicks)
- The ability to develop new business and sell new products
- Negotiation skills in sales, pricing, visibility and forward share
- Sound computer knowledge with IT proficiency to interpret data and formulate sales targets and generate reports.
- The candidate must be in possession of a South African driver's license, be a self-starter, pro-active and motivated with ambition
- Have their own vehicle for transport
