Key responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to solicitors by managing schedules, drafting legal documents, and handling correspondence
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date
- Liaise with clients, court officials, and other third parties on behalf of the legal team
- Manage client billing, file management, and invoicing as required
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court hearings for solicitors
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the protection of sensitive legal information
- Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, filing, and organising legal paperwork
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- A professional and approachable attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Previous experience in litigation or corporate law is an advantage
- Knowledge of office management and billing systems
- A relevant legal qualification or certification is beneficial
