CMT seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced media project manager to be based at our head office in Rondebosch, Cape Town. Your excellent organisational skills, reliability and media background coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification may land you this post. The successful candidate will be required to manage a high volume workload, have the ability to manage their own time and work to deadlines. Only Cape Town based applications will be considered. Salary commensurate with experience. 

Key duties and responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

Provide day-to-day scheduling, reporting, and efficient project management support to the media production department.

Job description (may include but is not limited to):

• Writing of proposals for funding
• Creation of budgets in planning and proposal stages
• Responsibility for appropriate work prioritisation and for meeting time-frame targets
• Scheduling of media project and campaigns
• Assisting with media production staff management and administration
• Scheduling of production and delivery of creative assets
• Ensuring contracts with suppliers and independent contractors are accurate for project deliverables
• Checking and submission of expenditures and regular reports alongside finance department
• Authoring reports and activity statements on all aspects of operational process and history of project for funding entities
• Reporting on media campaign narrative and spend
• Compile media data into comprehensive reports
• Preparing presentations for campaign work
• Writing up case studies on campaign work
• Regular meetings with programme director and CEO to report on project status, budget issues and future plans.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, media production, communications, or a related field
• Minimum three years’ project management experience a must
• Experience in managing projects and project logistics
• Media background
• A perfectionist with an eye for detail
• A strong project manager with the ability to produce accurate project cost to profit estimates and the wherewithal to ensure a project is produced to budget
• Productive and efficient (completes expected amount of work, to the highest standards, timeously)
• Valid South African ID
• Valid drivers' licence with driving experience
