Tax Consultant - George - Western Cape

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Consultant / Tax Accountant / Tax Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with SARS regulations, and proficiently using eFiling to process and manage tax documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance and Submissions:
  
  • Prepare and submit tax returns (individual, corporate, VAT, PAYE, etc.) using SARS eFiling.
  • Ensure compliance with all SARS deadlines and regulations.
  • Manage objections, appeals, and SARS correspondence.
• Tax Administration:
  
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Assist with tax clearance applications and compliance status verification.
  • Perform reconciliations for VAT and PAYE accounts.
• Client Interaction:
  
  • Advise clients on tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Address tax-related queries and resolve disputes with SARS.
• Reporting and Audits:
  
  • Assist with tax audits and verifications.
  • Provide reports on tax obligations and payments.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications:
  
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Registered Tax Practitioner (preferred).
• Experience:
  
  • 2+ years of experience in tax consulting or administration.
  • Proficiency in SARS eFiling and working knowledge of tax legislation.
• Skills:
  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
