HOD: Senior Designer/Animator

You’re a creative beast, and you feed off deadlines. You can turn a blank canvas into a piece of art with your eyes closed. You’ve also got tech skills, the eye to spot a single pixel out of place, and the ability to make things dance across a computer screen. Hey, you’re a designer/animator. That’s what you do. And you’re damn good at it. What’s more, you know how to lead a team, how to motivate people and how to get them to do your bidding (insert evil laugh).

When it comes to world-class promo production for only the biggest broadcast and entertainment brands, Studio Zoo says a big, fat NO to NORMAL (seriously, it’s right there in our tagline). That’s why we’re scoping out for a massively talented, detail-obsessed and creatively outstanding motion-graphics designer to join our award-winning family of go-getters. You up for it? Excellent. And when we say join, that's not limited to working from the office. If you'd like to work remotely, we're ok with that too.

Please submit a portfolio that shows the very best of your thinking and execution abilities.  If your work is not credited, be sure to include a brief description of your involvement with each project.

Requirements:

• You must be able to demonstrate exceptional command of the production process from concept to delivery.
• You need to display strong conceptual, storytelling and presentation capabilities. Your conceptual and production skills allow you to inspire your peers.
• At least eight years of motion graphics experience.
• Digital tools should include a combination of Photoshop and After Effects
• 3D skills a massive bonus (ideally Cinema 4D but not a deal-breaker)
• Expertise in general compositing principles
• Confident in the visual exploration of concepts
• Creative and design-oriented, excellent communicator, good with teamwork
• Self-motivated problem solver
• Experience in leadership a bonus but not a must
