We are seeking a passionate, meticulous and experienced business unit head/general manager to be based in our Bryanston Head Office.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing the national operations functions, spearheading the Activate business unit sales strategy & providing clients with detailed integrated marketing and experiential activation solutions. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment & excel in strategic leadership, operational excellence, and team empowerment. They will also possess a strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive KPI’s & the overall Isilumko Activate business unit growth.
Operations management: - Regional and national operations monitoring and mentorship across all branches (JHB / CPT / PE / DBN).
- Recruitment of all regional and national operations employees.
- Overseeing regional and national operation processes in accordance with the company business processes.
- Troubleshooting operational business issues nationally.
- HR coordination with company employees nationally.
- Ensure Regional teams are fully supported to execute operational roles.
Financial support services: - Oversee and manage the business expenditure within the Activate business unit.
- Set business sales targets.
- Track overall business financial performance.
National campaign management /client service:- Liaison of all brief detail from clients to Key Account Managers.
- Compiling detailed Post Campaign Analysis (PCA) reports for client campaigns.
- Troubleshooting client requests or project challenges.
- Oversee and approve procurement of promotional collateral.
Sales and proposal drafting: - Create, design and present client specific sales strategies.
- Create, design, cost and present detailed brand campaign proposals.
- Pitch and sell to market (new client strategies).
- Manage and nurture strong client relationships.
Essential skills:- Marketing / PR / Advertising qualification (Diploma / Degree).
- Expert level of computer literacy (Canva or similar, Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).
- Proven experience in digital executions (AR, VR, gamification, software build, etc).
- Previous work experience in an agency environment (minimum 5 years).
- BTL agency experience would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a mid-to-senior management position.
Educational requirements:- Marketing / PR / advertising qualification diploma or degree.
