Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Install and configure network cables, routers, switches, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Set up and troubleshoot WiFi networks, ensuring optimal coverage and performance.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Assist with server installations and maintenance when required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
- Document all work completed, including configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance comply with company standards and client requirements.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network systems, cabling, and WiFi setup.
- Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid drivers licence, own transport and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) are advantageous.
