Job purpose:
The branch manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations, sales, and overall performance of the Port Elizabeth branch. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive business growth, manage a high-performing team, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Branch operations management: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with company policies.
- Sales and business development: Drive sales targets, identify new business opportunities, and implement strategies for revenue growth.
- Team leadership and development: Recruit, train, and manage staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Customer relations: Ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Financial oversight: Manage budgets, control expenses, and monitor profitability.
- Stock and inventory management: Ensure adequate stock levels and efficient inventory control.
- Market and competitor analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Reporting and compliance: Provide regular performance reports to management and ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification (essential).
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business management, sales, or a related field (advantageous).
- Minimum of five years' experience in a sales and operations management role, preferably in renewable energy, telecoms, or financial services.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams.
- Experience in sales strategy development and execution.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport (essential).
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
