Lecture and assess distance learning students in Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching programme in the following modules:
Teaching English Home Language Senior Phase 1 (Semester 2)
Teaching English Home Language Senior Phase 2 (Semester 1)
Teaching English First Additional Language Senior Phase 1 (Semester 1)
Teaching English First Additional Language Senior Phase 1 (Semester 2)
Teaching English First Additional Language Senior Phase 2 (Semester 1)
Teaching English First Additional Language Senior Phase 2 (Semester 2)
Perform the role and responsibilities of the Module Coordinator (MC).
Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
Participate in relevant programme, curriculum, and material development.
Carry out allocated internal moderation responsibilities.
Participate in school-based Teaching Practice assessments.
Provide academic support to students.
Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
Participate in research and community engagement projects.
Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
Minimum Requirements | Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification.
Undergraduate qualification must include the relevant PGCE specialization.
At least 5 years relevant subject teaching experience in the relevant phase/band and discipline.
Relevant higher education lecturing experience will be an advantage
Experience in curriculum and materials development.
Experience in online teaching and learning environments will be an advantage.

High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.
