Key responsibilities:

• Conduct process studies and develop design modifications to optimize operations.
• Develop, review, and validate plant mass balances to ensure peak performance.
• Identify optimization opportunities and implement solutions accordingly.
• Utilise HYSYS and Promax for process simulation and modeling.
• Provide technical direction and support to both in-Kingdom and out-of-Kingdom design contractors.
• Formulate and implement long-term strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Apply expertise in metering systems and process safety-related activities such as HAZOP and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Interpret and implement relevant engineering codes and standards.
• Oversee construction progress, ensure compliance with engineering requirements, and recommend design changes as needed.
• Lead groups of engineers during shutdown and start-up phases of existing plants.
• Support other engineering disciplines in problem-solving and process development.
• Participate in the development of engineering, material, and equipment specifications.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Advanced degrees preferred).
• Experience: 10-15 years in refining, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
• Technical Expertise:
  
  • Strong knowledge of API, ISO, ASME industry standards.
  • Experience in process simulation, metering systems, and process safety.
  • Proficiency in HYSYS and Promax.
• Skills:
  
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Leadership experience in plant shutdown and start-up.
  • Cost estimation and engineering design expertise.
