Junior Accountant

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Maintain accounts receivable and issue invoices.
• Maintain accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and weekly float reconciliations as assigned.
• Update financial records via accounting software.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in preparing Annual Financial Statements in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
• Support the BEE verification process.
• Prepare monthly VAT and EMP submissions.
• Assist with other accounting projects as required.

• Qualifications: B.Com in accounting or general accounting.
• Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Proven experience as a junior accountant.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical acumen with a good understanding of numbers and figures.
• Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and relevant accounting software.
• Proficiency in Pastel Payroll and Sage Cloud Accounting.
• Skilled in using SARS eFiling and SARS easyFile.
