Key roles and responsibilities:

• Perform circulation duties e.g. lending services and other related duties.
• Assist with library material processing for circulation.
• Assist with stock-taking.
• Provide basic reference and research assistance to students.
• Assist students with technology e.g. computer use when necessary.
• Locate items on mySTADIO Library catalogue and on shelves for patrons.
• Assist with Library exhibitions/displays, special events and open days.
• Enforce library rules and ensure users comply with the rules.
• Ad hoc tasks, such as, but not limited to, shelving & repairing of books, shelf reading.
• Actively living the STADIO values.

Minimum requirements:

• Two years’ work experience, in a tertiary education environment would be an advantage.
• Experience in digital productivity software (Microsoft Suite).

Qualifications and experience:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably in Library and Information Services.

Key attributes:

• Good understanding of knowledge and information literacy.
• Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, time management, and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• Knowledge and understanding of Library and Information Services would be an advantage.
• Efficient level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to cope with change.
