As a B2B (business-to-business) content creator, your role is to develop and deliver high-quality content that is tailored to the needs of B2B audiences. You will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content that educates, informs and influences the target audience, ultimately driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. Your content will be used across various channels and platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, whitepapers, case studies and more.
Responsibilities:
Content strategy: collaborate with the marketing team to develop an effective content strategy aligned with the overall marketing objectives and target audience.
Content creation: produce well-researched, engaging, and persuasive content that resonates with B2B audiences. This includes blog posts, articles, ebooks, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, social media content, video scripts and more.
Research: conduct thorough research on industry trends, target audience preferences, competitors, and relevant topics to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
SEO optimisation: optimise content for search engines to improve organic visibility and attract qualified leads. Implement relevant keywords, meta tags and other SEO best practices.
Editing and proofreading: review and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, style, and tone. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice.
Content promotion: collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional plans and distribute content across various channels, including social media, email campaigns, newsletters and industry publications.
Audience engagement: monitor and respond to audience comments, feedback and inquiries across different content distribution channels to foster engagement and build relationships.
Analytics and reporting: monitor content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement, conversions and lead generation. Analyse data to optimise content strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.
Industry knowledge: stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to B2B marketing and content creation. Share insights and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a B2B content creator, copywriter, or similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong research skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling content.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimisation techniques.
Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
Experience with social media platforms, email marketing and other digital marketing channels.
Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies, buyer personas and sales cycles.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative mindset and the ability to think strategically to create innovative and impactful content.
