In this role, you’ll work with different teams across the company, from sales to customer service, to understand their needs and challenges. You’ll then research potential software solutions, evaluate how well they meet our requirements, and help ensure a smooth implementation. It’s not about developing the technology yourself—it’s about finding the best tools out there and working with our internal teams to make them fit seamlessly into our environment. 

A typical day could involve meeting with business units to discuss their goals, comparing software options, documenting your findings, and collaborating with our IT and software teams to make sure the chosen solutions align with our digital transformation objectives. Your work will directly contribute to smarter business decisions, improved processes, and a more innovative company culture.

Responsibilities:

• Identify business needs: Collaborate with various teams to understand their goals and challenges, ensuring that new technology solutions align with company objectives.
• Analyse needs and solutions: Evaluate current business processes and systems, identifying opportunities for technology to improve efficiency and address specific challenges.
• Research and recommend technology solutions: Investigate, evaluate, and recommend third-party software options based on scalability, ease of integration, and long-term viability.
• Document requirements: Gather, organise, and clearly document business needs, translating them into technical requirements to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions: Partner with technical teams to ensure that software solutions effectively meet business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with teams across IT, data and AI, and operations to ensure seamless and effective implementation of solutions.
• Report on project progress: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project developments, highlighting successes and addressing challenges.

Requirements:

• Educational background: A degree in industrial engineering, data science, computer science, BComm, or a related field.
• Experience level: One to three years of experience in a role involving technology evaluation, business analysis, or digital transformation, ideally in a tech-driven or innovation-focused environment.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical teams.
• Team player: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and collaborate in a team-oriented setting.
• Analytical mindset: A problem-solving approach with the ability to evaluate and improve business processes through technology.
• Organised and detail-oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organised, and maintain attention to detail, particularly when documenting requirements or reporting to stakeholders.
• Tech-savvy: Proficiency in researching, understanding, and assessing various software tools and technology trends.

This is an office-based position.
