Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Consultant to join our team on a part-time basis. The candidate should have a keen interest in technology and the ability to provide practical and quick solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up existing and new laptops, managing software platforms for both internal and external users, website maintenance such as conducting monthly checks ins, handling password changes, similar.

Key responsibilities:
Help desk: Respond to user issues as soon as viable by providing remote or on-site technical support to everyone at CHABAHIVA Trust; this further includes managing password resets, software installation, and troubleshooting.

Network Administration: Monitor and manage cloud server as well as firewalls.

Software Updates and Patches: Ensure all software is up to date with the latest updates as well as resolve compatibility issues between software and hardware.

Cybersecurity Solutions: Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

Microsoft Server Installation and Maintenance: Set up virtual servers, configure server roles, such as email, web, database services as well as monitoring server performance ensuring optimal uptime.

Mobile Device Management (MDM): Set up and configure devices for remote access ensuring that solutions for remote wiping and data loss prevention is accurately provided.

Data Backup and Recovery on Cloud: Schedule regular backups and test recovery procedures.

Security Management: Monitor for security threats and ensure antivirus protection is up to date.

Vendor Management: Cooperate with external vendors for software and hardware support.

SharePoint management:
  • Maintain and actively contribute to the implementation of SharePoint, customising it to meet the needs of both internal and external staff, in alignment with CHABAHIVA Trust’s objectives
  • Provide practical solutions and support for SharePoint usage specific to non-profit organisations (NPOs).
Website maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the company website, ensuring it is secure, up-to-date, and functional.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint and other Microsoft software, particularly for non-profit organisations.
  • Proficiency in website maintenance and content management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • A degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant certifications in IT support or specific software/tools are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IT support tools and software.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting.
