Job description

CMT wishes to employ a suitably experienced Data Capturer in Klerksdorp who will be responsible for capturing and controlling data, running reports, creating spreadsheets. The position would suit somebody who lives in/around Klerksdorp. Salary commensurate with experience. The data capturer will report to the Dreams M&E manager and the district manager: DKK and be available to start immediately.

Key duties and responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
  • Reviewing data on M&E System for deficiencies or errors
  • Verify data for accuracy and rectify incorrectly captured data immediately
  • Accept submissions and approve data on the System
  • Compile, sort and organise data to be entered into the databases or electronic files
  • Input text and data from documents into spreadsheets, databases or electronic files
  • Input data correctly and accurately with a high level of attention to detail
  • Crosscheck and verify that data has been captured into the database accurately
  • Maintain and update workflow record with respect to work completed and pending
  • Ensure that programme information is always kept confidential
  • Assist the M&E Manager in ensuring that M&E systems are adhered to
  • Participate in the district programme evaluations
  • Ensure effective and timeous planning, monitoring, and reporting on the programme including participating in the collection of data in the area of practice
  • Ensure efficient and timely flow of management and operational information to managers and meet all reporting requirements
  • Follow all M&E processes and procedures
  • Ensure close working relationships with other staff and programme team members
  • Ensure that all allocated targets are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required:
  • Matric or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three years of data capture experience within an NGO environment
  • Certificate in Excel, Access database and MS Word
  • Experience in conducting quality control with health-related and HIV/Aids data
  • Experience in filing and archiving of data as per M&E requirements
  • Problem analysis and solving skills
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to plan, organise and execute
  • Good communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Passionate about excellent service delivery
  • High level of accuracy
  • Positive attitude
  • Deadline-driven and good at self-management
