Account Executive: Financial Lines

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or relevant qualification required


• RE5 certificate


• NQF5 STI qualification


• Relevant FAIS credits (120 credits) preferred


• 5 years of Financial Lines Account Executive experience


• Technical Broking experience in the field preferred


• Insurance Institute Associate designation preferred

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for Book of business which includes growth (organic, new business, upselling, cross-selling), maintenance, and retention


• Regular client interactions and documented outcomes/discussion


• Provide good advice to clients and explain policies to protect their assets and protect them against financial loss


• Up-to-date knowledge of changes in the insurance industry (class of business training, CPD training, product-specific training)


• Compliance knowledge, champion and ensure adherence to all Company's procedures and FAIS requirements


• Advocate Treating Customers Fairly principles including internal client’s external clients and third parties (potential new clients)


• Take overall accountability for claims on all clients – manage client’s understanding and expectations and deal with any issues


• Work with the Claims team on all relevant claims and also liaise with the Claims Manager on complex claims where required


• Work with the Technical Broker were requested to ensure that procedures, policies, and documents are completed


• Provide clear instructions and complete information to the Technical Broke
